Members of the Beverly Hills Police Department’s Baker to Vegas Relay Team and the Vahagn Setian Charitable Foundation (VSCF) would like to invite you to participate in the 4th Annual Vahagn Setian Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 30th at 8:30 AM. This event commemorates the young life of a wonderful community member that was tragically cut short by a drunk driver. This 5K Run/Walk symbolizes healthy life choices, ethical decision-making and a strong relationship between the Beverly Hills Police Department and our local community.
Our goal this year is to make the 5K Run/Walk – your community experience. We are reaching out to our Beverly Hills businesses, to support the event by recruiting their company employees, to form a running team and enter the race. This will be a fun way to develop comradery among your employees and to give visibility to your company while supporting this worthy cause. There is no cost to participate in the 5K Run/Walk, however donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
The run will take place at 8:30 AM at the Northeast corner of Rexford Dr. and N. Santa Monica Blvd. Registration begins at 7:30AM in the lower section of the Police Department’s outdoor boat court, located adjacent to the parking structure off of Rexford Dr., south of N. Santa Monica Blvd. The first two hours are free.
The run consists of a 5K course, professionally managed by “Pacific Coast Race Timing” Company and organized and monitored by a race team committee with exceptional prizes for the winners of each division donated by our generous sponsors such as Leon’s Fine Jewelry of Beverly Hills, Stefano Ricci, Porsche Design, Petrossian Caviar of Paris and many more. This makes the run very competitive. After the 5K Run/Walk, you can enjoy soothing tunes from a Live Jazz Band and some delicious cupcakes on sale from “Bake You Happy”.
This event reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to a number of positive social values. Together with our Police, City and School system we will:
Promote teamwork, physical fitness, and selflessness.
Please join us, bring your whole family, your friends, and invite a guest. With your support we can continue Foundation’s important work.
Although Vahagn himself is no longer physically present, the Foundation ensures that his passion for music, the arts, laughter and human joy will continue to flourish in the community he loved so dearly, and which he so greatly enriched during his tragically brief time among us.
VSCF helps youth to build healthy and productive lives one choice at a time and focuses on enhancing the quality of their education with scholarships and other material aid.
